Ipiranga Química was founded in 1991 as part of Empresas Petróleo Ipiranga. Over time, our company earned its market position by seeking innovative alternatives and offering custom solutions for all clients, suppliers, and partners. Currently 100% controlled by Braskem, we stand as the largest distributor of chemical and petrochemical products for the industry in Brazil. This landmark is a reflection of the pride and dedication of everyone who works with us. After all, this history has been built based on the belief that the value of a brand lies in the people and in the passion that these people put in everything they do. Passion for innovation. With our over ninety represented companies (both in Brazil and overseas), we offer a portfolio of over 700 products, which supply the needs of over 50 market segments. Additionally, we have a Services Business Unit with a structure for warehousing of bulk and packed products, packing, development of formulated products, provision of logistic services and consulting on environmental management.

Our sales and logistic structure covers the entire Brazilian territory. Our offices, labs, and distribution centers are strategically located in Canoas (RS), Guarulhos (SP), and Duque de Caxias (RJ), prepared to accommodate each market's and each client’s particular needs. This entire structure is supported by logistics bases located in Recife (PE), Salvador (BA), Simões Filho (BA), Goiânia (GO), São Paulo (SP), Santos (SP), Araucária (PR), and Rio Grande (RS).
New name.

Our new name shows the strength of opportunities and the infinity of possibilities through the potential of people. To see beyond what is done, to do beyond what is seen. The essence of quantiQ is everywhere. To perceive as much as possible, all that is possible. To raise what we have to a new level of importance, as well as the power to transform what is not yet in its final form and can still be improved.

Ipiranga Química has always combined the best elements and the best people to build a history os success. This is how we became Brazil's largest distributor of chemical and petrochemical products for the industry. We are now entering a new cycle of evolution - we have a new identity, a new name, and a new brand - but we keep the old passion, values, and chemistry. We are now quantiQ, ready to explore and unleash chemistry's full potential.
From 16 February, 2009, as a continuation of the process of shift in control, we will be called quantiQ.
Our trade name will be iQ Soluções & Química S/A and our registration numbers under the Union (CNPJ), States (I.E.) and Municipalities (I.M.) will remain unchanged. Once the update process in Brazilian records is completed, this new trade name will be adopted in all the documentation among our companies.
We would like to reassert our commitment to full cooperation in order to ensure that our suppliers' and clients' processes are not disrupted in any way.
The passion for what we do and the belief that people are the ones who make the difference will continue to guide our actions.
